Pedro Quintas

Pedro Quintas (Lisbon, 1972). Lives and works in Lisbon. Graduated in Painting (1999) and concluded in 2001 the Visual Arts Advanced Course at Ar.co - Centro de Arte e Comunicação Visual, Lisbon. He regularly exhibits his work, which mostly consists in paintings and drawings, with a few incursions in the fields of engraving and photography. In 2019, he was one in a group of artists who were invited to take part in PAC (Projecto Artistas Contemporâneos) / Vista Alegre, where he exhibited Flower Power. In 2018, he had a solo painting show, “O resto é a Sombra”, at Galeria Fernando Santos; in the same year, he exhibited his work alongside Cristina Lamas at Eduarda Rosa at Galeria 111. In 2017, he took part in the group exhibition “25 Anos - Galeria Fernando Santos” at Galeria Fernando Santos, Porto. Also in 2017, he exhibited with Cristina Lamas at Shiki Miki Gallery. In 2016, he participated in “Périplos/Arte portugués de hoy”, at Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Málaga, and brought the solo show “Apontamentos” to Galeria Fernando Santos. In 2013, his work was featured in “Entre Memória e Arquivo”, a group show curated by Ruth Rosengarten at Museu Colecção Berardo, Lisbon; and in “Sincronias: Artistas Portugueses na Coleção António Cachola”, another group show curated by Isabel Pinto and Patrícia Machado at MEIAC - Museo Extremeño Iberoamericano de Arte Contemporáneo), Badajoz. His work is represented in various public art collections, such as AR.CO, Lisbon; Colecção António Cachola / MACE, Elvas; Colecção Museu Berardo, Lisbon; Colecção MAAT / Fundação EDP, Lisbon; Colecção Fundação PLMJ, Lisbon; as well as several Portuguese and foreign private art collections.
