The opening of the exhibition ‘Luz Verdadera’ of works by the artist Santiago Ydáñez will take place at the Espacio Cultural Santa Catalina in Badajoz on 20th August, at 8:30 pm. The exhibition is part of the Arteria Project, promoted by the Concejalía de Cultura del Ayuntamiento de Badajoz.

In ‘Luz Verdadera’, the artist Santiago Ydáñez shows a selection of large-format works in which the themes and aesthetic concerns that guide the artist in his reflection on traditional genres of painting, in this case, the representation of animals and religious scenes. Ydáñez is one of the great exponents of contemporary Spanish painting, author of a wide work in which pictorial experimentation is a vehicle for the development of a language that stands out for its expressiveness, strength and movement. His trajectory is marked by an unbreakable loyalty to the painter’s craft, which is characterized by his personal gesture, a gesture that gives his works an emotion that speaks to us of the joy of painting by an artist who creates out of vital necessity.

The Arteria Project aims to build a space of reference for multidisciplinary artistic techniques with the firm purpose of creating spaces of cultural interest.
